The Bolla
Quartet conquers Avignon – 5 August 2005
The Bolla Quartet scooped both the Grand Prix and the Prix du Public at the
Avignon Jazz Festival in France. And this is not the end of the story.
Robert Szakcsi Lakatos also took the special award for the best solo player.
Formerly called the Tremplin Jazz Festival, Avignon has now a long tradition
of inviting young talents. The band felt incredibly proud of the success and
also rewarded the audience with a fantastic performance. The prize comes
with an opportunity for a recording session in a professional studio in
Avignon in 2006.
